We are Full Restore Collectibles, a Vancouver-based collectibles shop specializing in Japanese Pokémon Cards.

When we were choosing our name, we were thinking about what we wanted to create: a space where you can come to browse rare cards, hard-to-find collectibles, or adorable plushies, and leave feeling refreshed or inspired. Restoring your mental HP, as it were! And we’ve carefully curated our stock to accomplish that, sourcing incredible, rare cards and slabs that you would be hard pressed to find elsewhere.

What got us into collecting? A tale as old as the cards themselves: the nostalgia of it. We opened packs as children, stopped when we got older, and then rediscovered the hobby as adults.

As for opening the store, well, it’s a convenient excuse to spend more time in the hobby. We get to meet amazing new people and look at more cards.

Why Japanese cards? This is a question we get asked a lot, and it’s understandable why: being a Vancouver-based shop, we cater to a primarily English-speaking demographic. However, that’s just a better incentive for us to try exposing more people to the beauty of Japanese cards. They are, on average, better quality than English, with fewer misprints and print lines, and mishaps. Some of the shiny cardboard also looks shinier, especially the vintage ex cards or secret rares. There are also a plethora of promotional cards that only exist in Japanese, but not English (famous examples being the Mario & Luigi Pikachu’s! By specializing in these cards, we can focus more attention and resources on locating extremely niche and rare promos that may not exist in English.
